Setting up Netscape email

NOTE: In the examples below you must replace with your actual domain name.

Pull down the "Edit" menu and choose "Preferences".

In the left dialog box choose "Identity". In the right dialog box fill in the fields with your correct information and click "OK".

Next choose "Mail Servers" from in the left dialog box.

In the right dialog box enter either the address of your ISP's SMTP server or in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) Server" box (depending upon your ISP you might only be able to use their outgoing SMTP server)

click the "Add" button.

In the "Server Name" field enter:

Set the "Server Type" pull down menu to: POP

In the "User Name" field enter:

Example: If your email address you are checking was you would enter (yes that is a percent sign and yes the entire string is the user name).

Check any other options you want and then click "OK".
